Dr. Patel

Before I became an optometrist, I was that visually challenged kid who needed all the help just to see clearly. Going to the optometrist was one of the few appointments I genuinely looked forward to. One summer, during a routine visit, my optometrist happened to be hiring and offered me a front desk position on the spot. As I worked in the office and observed all that went on behind the scenes, I realized this was what I wanted to do with my life.
I began my career in East Texas, where I had the opportunity to care for patients of all ages and abilities—from newborns just five days old to patients as old as 110. What I love most about being an optometrist is connecting with my patients and getting to know them as individuals. My goal is to make each person feel at home in my care and to be someone they can truly count on. I genuinely love what I do, and I hope my passion for this profession and for providing excellent patient care is evident in every encounter.
DR NGUYEN

My passion for optometry began early—I started wearing glasses at the age of five. But it wasn’t until a college mission trip to Honduras that I truly understood the profound impact this profession can have. While assisting an optometrist in prescribing glasses, I witnessed the pure joy on patients’ faces as they received the vision correction they had long needed. That experience solidified my decision to pursue a career in optometry.
Today, I’m grateful to work in a field I deeply love. While I still enjoy helping patients find the perfect pair of glasses, I’ve also developed a strong interest in managing ocular disease and fitting specialty contact lenses—areas of optometry I hadn’t even known existed when I was younger. It’s a privilege to be part of my patients’ eye care journeys, and I am committed to providing them with the highest quality care every step of the way.
